P Pre-K Reading and Language Arts
Monday- Friday: Identify upper and lowercase letters Aa,Dd, Bb, Ee, Ll, Tt, Ii, Ff, Hh, Kk, Nn, Yy, Xx, Mm, Cc, Uu, Gg, Jj, Pp,Oo,Qq,Rr,Ss, Vv, Ww, Zz and objects for each. These are the letters that we have covered throughout the year. Use items found around the house or in your neighborhood to review. It is important that students learn all of the letters and be able to match upper and lower case.
ABCYa.com can be used to review and introduce new skills. We started using some choices under K to advance their skills to a new level.
Each day we discuss the calendar, weather, and say our class prayer.
Calendar includes- month, days of the week, dates, and year. For example: Today is Monday, March 23, 2020.
Weather includes- What is it doing outside or what do you see? For example: Today is Monday and it is rainy and cloudy.

You can also practice the sign of the cross which is done before and after each prayer, and The Our Father.
This is is our Values Code that we say each morning in the gym after the Pledge of Allegiance.
Fill in blanks: March- Acceptance and April- Forgiveness
Today I pledge to show ______________________________. I will lead my school and community as Jesus did by showing
______________________________________ Each and every day. I will be ready to serve others, be responsible for my own actions, and be respectful of all people that I meet. I pray that my thoughts, words, and actions will show me to be a leader in Christ’s image at all times.
Your child can also use their story books that have been sent home to retell the story to you. Ask them questions about the characters, location of the story, and the story order- beginning, middle, and ending. Also, you can use the story papers that came home with each story to review the skills done with each story. You can use these same ideas with books that you have at home or that can be found on.
Your child we be receiving a new packet in the mail this week. Work on letter Vv and the number 13 from May 18th- 22nd and then letter Ww and the number 14 from May, 26th- 29th. Finally, letter Zz and the number 15 from Monday, June 1st-4th.
Weekly art projects will be emailed and directions given during each Monday zoom meeting by Mrs. Little.
Please take a picture of completed art work and email it to Mrs. Little. Ms. Robin, and myself each week.
We will have a zoom meetings for Pre-K on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00-10:30.
Bundle all packets together ( rubber band, bag, etc.) with your child’s name on it and drop it off at school on Thursday, June 4th from 10-11 & 5-6.

Pre-K Math
Ask your child about Mr. Bear and how we use him everyday after calendar.
Along with our daily skills, this month we are exploring measurements. Use basic vocabulary ( height, length, taller, shorter, more, less, most, least, same) to compare and sort objects and themselves.
ABCYa.com is great to review and introduce new skills. Go to Numbers- Fuzz Bugs. This is one of our favorites to use.
Complete the number 9 worksheet and the jelly bean jar activity this week.

Friday: Ask your child to demonstrate a skill that they have learned in PE.
